Burdette, Woods Named A-10 Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week
George Mason’s Nicole Cardaño-Hillary Earned Rookie of the Week Honors

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Dayton’s Jenna Burdette and Saint Joseph’s Chelsea Woods were named as the Atlantic 10 Conference Women’s Basketball Co-Players of the Week while George Mason’s Nicole Cardaño-Hillary earned Rookie of the Week honors. The awards were for games played Jan. 8-14.

Burdette averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game, and shot 47.2 percent from the field in Dayton’s two wins last week. The senior guard from Coolville, Ohio, started the week off with 15 points and five assists in the victory over St. Bonaventure. She followed that up with a career-high 33 points to go with five 3-pointers, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals as the Flyers defeated Saint Louis, 101-76.

Woods averaged 19.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in wins over Richmond and Massachusetts last week. The senior guard/forward from Philadelphia, Pa., broke the 1,000-career point plateau in SJU’s win over Richmond on Wednesday. Woods had 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists against Richmond, followed by 19 points, 11 rebounds and five assists against UMass.

Cardaño-Hillary scored 22 points and set career highs with seven assists and seven steals in a 92-53 victory over Rhode Island on Sunday. The point guard from Madrid, Spain, made 9-of-18 shots including four 3-pointers. Her seven steals were the second-most in a single game in program history and just one shy of the school record.

Davidson’s Mackenzie Latt averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds for the week, and moved into sixth all-time in scoring in Davidson program history.  Davidson freshman Sarah Donovan scored in double-figures in both games this week averaging 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds…Duquesne’s Julijana Vojinovic recorded 17 points, five rebounds and five assists in Duquesne’s 54-53 win over George Washington…Fordham’s G’mrice Davis averaged 14.5 points and 13.0 rebounds in 2-0 week for the Rams while extending her current double-double streak to seven and pushing her overall total on the season to 16. In addition, she became just the second player in program history to record 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds.  Fordham freshman Bre Cavanaugh averaged 19.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals in wins over Davidson and VCU…George Mason’s Natalie Butlerposted her 17th straight double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds in Mason’s 92-53 victory over Rhode Island…La Salle rookie Shaquana Edwards had a team-high 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting and hit the game-winning 3-pointer against St. Bonaventure…Richmond freshman Alex Parson scored in double-figures twice and averaged 18.0 points over both games for the Spiders…Mariah Ruffextended her streak of games with 20 or more points to four games after scoring 24 points against Dayton and 30 against La Salle. She averaged 27.0 points and 5.0 rebounds last week for St. Bonaventure…Saint Louis’ Jackie Kemph had a season-high 24 points and game-high 12 assists in a loss to Dayton Sunday.
